sorry if this is a noob question but i was trying to remove the screen frame from the touch screen and the clear plastic layer lifted off of the screen as well. i tried to put it back exactly where it was but now the touch screen doesn't work. so my question is, anytime that clear plastic sheet comes off the screen, is it no good already? can it be put back and the touch screen still work?

The moment it was moved means it's useless. happened the same thing but my situation is that there's no filter. I was trying to remove something that didnt exist. I forgot to place the filter back and my screen is scratched. have it replaced.
