I know I did this a few months ago but I just have some final questions before finally place an order, are there much differences between the SD and CF versions and is the a way for me to import my VBA saves from my PC to the M3.

i beleive the SD version is smaller also the SD are getting very common now a days(dirty cheap)

i got 2X1GB SD cards for 60$cnd two weeks ago

yes you can transfer from VBA to M3 as long as your saves are *.sav
i havent tried it with the DS but it did work for the GBA

if you have a DS light i suggest you get either the G6 or the SClite

Oh no, I have a regular DS.

One more question I have to ask is if it uses a battery to save.

i'm not really sure about this one, maybe it does have a battery inside the M3
but the saves are stored on the SD card inside the "NDSSAVES" folder or sommething like that

when you bootup the M3 loader, it saves the last game you played on the SD card

Really? i didnt know SD card runs faster than mini SD and TF cards.
I think M3 lite is set to be released on the 24th of august.
I'm still tossing the idea whether to buy the Mini SD version or the Lite one....
sigh...

Yup, it's being released on the 24th.
And actually mini-sd cards are cheaper than regular sd's.
At least all the ones i looked at...

I'll see how the Lite is when it's released, if it's crappy i will fo go for the Slim, i don't really want to get a MiniSD v2.

order it now like me. =D dont wait for that m3 lite... takes too long. and besides, SD cards are a lot cheaper and run faster than the micro/mini sd's.

Sorry bud, all SD flash media runs at a rated speed of 12X unless otherwise specified. And as of right now both miniSD and SD go up to 150X while microSD is catching up with 80X. I have seen some 160X miniSD and SD cards made by no-name memeory brands which have been tested to be crap.

I suggest buying which ever is the smallest so it doesn't stick out of your DS. Or whatever fits your buget.
