PkHex and Pokemon DS games (On 3DS with R4i Card)?

Hi guys. I thought that I should ask about this here, as I am playing on an N3DS. Anyway, I have an R4i Card for my DS games, and have several DS Pokemon games on said card. I know that PkHex works with the 3DS Pokemon games, as well as GBA games. But, what about the Pokemon DS games? Does PkHex work with those? If yes, what format does the save file need to be, as well as save size? Thoughts and help appreciated

Yes of course, PKHeX works with all the DS Pokémon entries, main-line games that is.
I think the save should be as a .sav format, and if it's any other, they could be converted to that..
Size is about 512kb.

They work, but you need to figure out how to get your save and edit them and then put them back.
