Hello all,

I am trying to decide which game to get first. I was thinking about SSF4 but I already have that for the 360 so I am probably going to wait for Blazblue for a 3DS fighter.

I have narrowed it down to Pilot Wings and Rayman. I am only getting one game for launch because I am going to do the Amazon deal where you end up getting 35 dollars off a second game but you have to wait for your items to ship to get the promo credits added to your account. I have never played either of these franchises but they both look like solid titles.

Any input on either game would be greatly appreciated.

I say pilotwings. Apparently rayman is a terrible port. Yeah the original game is good but there some frame rate issues, bad audio quality, crappy 3d, and there have been ports made. Im sure you can find a better version in a bargain bin for a system you have.

Funny I read the complete opposite for Rayman. I heard it was just like the Dreamcast version.

it depends

i heard pilotwings was a short game, but was fun

rayman is a decent game, and from what i heard is a decent port

i would also suggest getting ridge racer, its a fun racing game. its pretty solid gameplay(i've played the psp version before)

so if you like adventure games go for rayman, otherwise go for pilotwings or ridge racer

and lol 35$? dont you mean 25

QUOTE(mysticwaterfall @ Mar 25 2011, 12:53 AM) You also apprently get a 10$ credit for ordering a game. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=amb_link_355667882_2?ie=UTF8&docId=1000668621&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=hero-quick-promo&pf_rd_r=0SE8EA97B37V7AKBVGMN&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=1291872702&pf_rd_i=B002I0IVC4) I highly doubt you can combine them, but that would be really cool. A 3DS game for 5$. Of course, a 3DS game for 15$ is awesome too. This just made my day that I can get a 3rd game now.

Could you buy the 3DS and a game then buy another game with the $10 credit off? If so that's like a 3DS and 2 games for $290. Not bad considering there's like only two good looking launch titles (I think Samurai Warriors Chronicles is launching with the NA release and then there's SSFIV. Or Rayman if SW isn't your cup of tea).

I just spoke with a customer service guy from Amazon. He verified that you can pre-order a 3DS then pre-order one of the games from the list and then apply both the $25 and the $10 promotional credits to the second game you buy so you only pay $5 for your second game. Screenshot attached:

Thank you very much OP for the heads up about this great deal.

Rayman is a lousy port according to 3DS blog

He refers to Rayman 3D as “a loveless port,” and cites issues with the frame-rate, a poor implementation of the 3D effect and broken sound effects that, on a regular basis, simply don’t play.
Look at the comments tho, majority didn't have such issue.

Does he even own/played the game?

I'm personally getting my BLUE 3DS from my Sams Club. We have a bundle package; 3DS with Pilot Wings and "Explorer's Kit."

The entire bundle includes:

Blue 3DS (or Black 3DS if you got the Black 3DS Bundle instead)
Pilot Wings 3D
The Explorer's Kit which consists of:
Car Adapter for gaming on the go. (Wow the battery life must SUCK)
Microfiber Cloth (For cleaning the screens)
Protective Screens (Prevent the scratchings!)
Carrying Case (Keeps your system clean!

It's only $300.00 (Or $296.99) But go figure;
3DS = $250 + Pilot Wings 3D = $40 + Car Adapter = $15 + Carrying Case = $20 + Protective Screens = $10
$335!
You save $35! That's enough for another game!
