I got an older model, but flashing and AKAIO works so it's real (HW:44).

I think fake ones display HW Version as ?? although I'm not 100% sure, maybe they are clever fakes.

Fake ones won't work with AKAIO. That's the best way to tell.

if ur card is fake akaio will still show up but it wont run any games

Essentially, it doesn't work. Anyway, 1.5 won't boot period on a clone.

I'm curious as to where Step29 got his faux Acekard from...

And on a semi-related matter, I've wondered why the newer Acekards lack the IC on the back. I'm assuming both the older and newer models function the same. So it would be that the Actel IC was no longer necessary. What did it do, anyways? And what was it replaced with?

mine is a black opaque back and doesnt have an actel or XLINKX chip its got a round thing and on front has a little chip that says SST next to the spring for the micro SD

is it real? i got it from DX

is there any site that you can buy a acekard from that will definitely be real because there is too much confusion with the acekard update for dsi 1.4 that is refusing to work for me so i need some serious help updating so can anyone help me on that?
