Was there not a thread about this? Sequel to the DS game I found the most fearsomely addictive.

Anyway, it's out now in Japan, and it's been dumped, and it's on the ISO site. Also I've played through the tutorial levels etc and it's looking great. I'm very happy.

I can't get the CIA version to work on Reinand... It's stuck at the 3DS splashscreen on my N3DS

....Whaaat?! :O Never knew about this!!
I'll behave myself and wait (a bit) to see if we get a Western version (it wasn't quite Picross DS, but I still ploughed hours into 3D), but since it didn't sell too well maybe I'll have to go the naughty route myself.. cheers for the heads up anyway!

A nice guy at the *snip* site uploaded a save with the amiibo puzzles unlocked. Here it is :) Works with my Gateway without a problem.

Perfect, well just in case you still want it, I just prepped a version that has only the tutorial stages and first few cosmos puzzles beaten, and the 9 amiibo puzzles unlocked.

Now you can make your own progress instead of using mine.

Also, I found that Peach and Toad appear to unlock the same puzzle.
You can also substitute Smash Bros Mario with Classic 8-bit Mario, Smash Bros Yoshi with Yarn Yoshi, or Smash Bros Link with Smash Bros Toon Link, as long as it's the same basic character.

That's great that users are providing their saves for players without amiibo.
Is that a zero-key save? no private header in the ROM? (not a .3Dz)

I dunno anything about that :< It worked with the dump I got from a Chinese site is all I know. I'm hoping someone can make a basic cheat or a save editor to unlock the amiibo puzzles since they seem to already be on the game, just locked behind their amiibo paywall.

I played the original DS one, the 2D version. I liked it quite a bit, but never got the 3D version. I only ever heard good things about it, so i'm glad theres another one.

if it's like the NDS game, it's to "protect" a cube from being deleted.
For example, if you keep the stylus pressed to delete a full row, it will stop and not break that cube.
it's also a lot easier to see which cube you know are good and you need to keep, and which one you don't know yet.

or is there a new mode on 3DS ? (I don't remember pressing left+L)
Maybe there's an alternative marker, just for your own comfort and use different logic, like "maybe this one" instead of being sure.

I really need to test that game, I got curious now :p
Chinese websites you said... hopefully not a crappy advertising .exe like on the most known location
3dsdb doesn't have any filename yet.

It's on the ISO site, there's a thread with the Chinese dump in the first post, and a firmware spoofed version lower down. CIA forum.

The pencil marks come in two different colours now, as the main marking of blocks is also in two different colours. Yeah I think you use the pencil marks when you know a block could be red but couldn't be blue, or vice versa (but you're not sure as it might still need to be removed), at least that's what I've been doing.
Hm hard to put clearly into words.

I don't have an account there, so I can't read threads :p
I'll have to update my EmuNAND and gateway too, I'm always outdated (or maybe firmware requirement is still auto-spoof by gateway). I don't play a lot.
But thanks for the informations.

i liked the DS version, however there were lots of shapes i really hated (specially humans making poses about a sport...)

I pirated the DS version and really liked it, so I bought a copy from Sears and copied my save file to it to keep playing. I'll have to try the 3DS version once I can find my way past all the download site paywalls and get the ROM, and perhaps get the game if it comes out here.
