As a general guideline - don't mention rom sites on gbatemp. Just dont. If we direct you to specific versions of roms, or a certain romset, we dont care about where you got or get yours from, or that that version from that pirate site didn't work for you.

If you still think that the most popular rom sites out there "own, manage or curate their releases" you are wrong. The release and the site you eventually get them from, have almost nothing in common. Its not the "warez sites set", it the curators set.

If your warez source (the one you found by clicking on the first result in google) doesnt work with a certain emulator, well - we don't need to know that. If you get almost all the hints necessery to find what you are looking for, and come back with a rebuttle of "but the thing I tried, dindt work" - we are certainly not taking you by the hand and offering you the full service experience of getting what you want.

This is not just scene politics either. The people profiting from the curation work are seldomly the same that have actually done it.

Emulation development is legal and much needed for preservation and promoting the use of old games - but only if you don't have to drop grey/illegal rom sites left an right, in your efforts to get someone to spell out a "custom solution" for you specifically.

Also - I will report the postings that mention said rom site.

Its one thing to "act as if no one can find the few main ones using google", but its another thing to want to get support on where to download your abandonware/warez from. We dont offer that here.

The v0.2.97.42 set works great, thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction! I had no idea there were different build sets before today.

I didn't want support on where to get anything from, just a solution on why what i had wasn't working. I had no idea there was a such thing as different build versions of fba requiring different sets. I apologize for any problems my questions caused and i very much appreciate the help in identifying the issue. I'll make sure not to mention site names in any future posts, definitely never intended to promote them.

******** Now that I've had a chance to test everything out i have an ease of use suggestion. Would it be possible to toggle systems using the shoulder buttons without having to go through the menu each time? Amazing work so far @cpasjuste , everything runs so well!

Probably not necessary - but just to keep the "i had no idea - thank you so much for "personalized service" support" attitude at a minimum.

A: Roms dont work.
B: You probably have an incorrect romset. You need a FBA compatible romset. Read this text that describes to you why there are different romsets for Arcade games.
C: Yes, you probably have an incorrect romset, what games arent working for you?
A: BUT I HAZ ROMS from warez site XYZ - THEY SHOULD WORK, RIGHT?
C: You need romset x or y. (First google result now points to ... - before you needed two clicks more.)
B: Don't mention rom sites in here. We don't support your individual needs to "haz stuff working" down to a "where do you download all tha warez" level.
A: So sorry - I DIDNT KNOW, that there were different build sets (overspecific statement to not get called out, that you were told bfore, also there usually arent for every build) - but now that I haz all the stuff working perfectly, ... (pce emulation doesnt work, SFIII 3rd strike lags, ...)

You didn't know how to take a hint, google or not to mention rom sites in here (it took you 8 years being registered in this forum, not to read the rules). And you explicitly wanted to be fed a search term, that when you enter it in google produces what you want in the first result. We can twist it around all we want, but this is basically "were do I get to download my roms" support at that point. And I don't like this getting mixed in with this forum. There is a distinction. Either we have a super happy fun time spelling out for everyone where to download warez - or we care about the possibility of open communication with the emulator dev who probably doesnt like to be associated with stuff like that (warez support - given in a thread they created). What if their pseudonym isnt anonymized for example?

Stop and think for a minute before you post warez sites in here the next time. And dont urge people to all but spell out rom sources for you, in a thread about an emulation build, even naming warez sites yourself. If you really had "no idea", now you do.

Hi, does someone know if it exist some images of the switch buttons (UP/DOWN.. X, Y, A, B, L, R, ZL, SL...) to use in pfba configuration menu ? If not, would want to make them ? :)

I found this one (attached), would it work?

Do you have the source ? It seems they have svg one.

Found the source. It seems I won't be able to use that as it's a paid package :/

Hey @cpasjuste, I kept searching for icon packs and couldn't find any that didn't require purchase. So i purchased the pack for you from the unity store and extracted it. I can't PM because I'm new but if you PM me your email i will send you the extracted assets. Hope they will help you out!

I can make some shitty icons if you need something free and free of any licensing. I'm sure there's many more people on gbatemp with more talent, but it couldn't take long to whip out something like the template shared above.

Reproduced the "fan pulsing issue" in retroarch and in switch menu by now (although sadly after the HBL exploit initializing, so I still dont know if this is a native switch issue) - so I can say for sure, that this is not a pFBA issue, and probably not a libnx issue, as Retroarch doesnt use it right now. :)

Thanks for all the reports guys (and the icon pack!).

For information, I made a lot of progress. First, i managed to get hardware scaling. The emu now run very, very speedy :) I didn't find a game get that does not run fullspeed even with fullcreen scaling (cps3, pgm...).
Else I fixed/added save states, (basic) joystick support, buttons are now assignable in the config menu, and more. I also got a partial audio, the sound is very crappy but its a start.
I'm currently fixing/adding rotation support and input improvements. I hope to release this in a few days..

I'm not testing, I'm going off of what cpasjuste just said. He also said, that he will release the new build in a few days. :)

For me this is exciting, because its basically one step above the original Xbox v1 capabilities - and the Xbox v1 in my mind still is the "gold templet" for Homebrew emulation done right. :) (Oddly - also before Retroarch became a thing.. ;) )

It also sets things into perspective. We now have 2001 top of the line console technology in a tablet format. That can also drive a TV. I find this much more exciting, than the last Mario release announcement for some reason.. ;)

ok, I thought you compiled the new update, thanks, we'll wait for the pfba update, greetings.

Are ColecoVision (cv_) or PCE / Turbografx (pce_ / tg_) working for anyone? I have the correctly named zips but get DRIVER INIT FAILED for Coleco and Switch crashes altogether for PCE / TG. Just seeing if this is an emulator bug or a not.

Pretty sure the Switch is past top of the line 2001 consoles
