Gaming Persona 3 Portable its OUT!

I'm running a pair of personas that don't overlap abilities - one has Fire/Wind & buffing, the other one has Ice/Lightning & debuffing. Made a hard decision and once the weapon shop opened, I bought 2x SP Regen 2 and taught them, now I'm not having any SP problems.

Healing is easy, you get enough cash to buy 30~40 of the weak Medicine, that's pretty much all you need for 1 night of going from the last barrier you reached to the next one, as far as I can see.

Oh, right, I don't know what's better - relying on actually good (but underlevelled) personas that you have, or fusing them into newer (and higher levelled) but not as good in terms of skills personas? I'm thinking the former, but there's so many cool combinations, the cuteness overwhelmed me and I made a Neko Shogun, it's so cuuuuute, like a Samurai Kitty ^^"

I recommend keeping your low-level, but useful Persona. What's the point in having a high level Persona, but it being completely useless to you? =P I remember in my first playthrough on the PS2 version, I had Orpheus and Apsaras for a good half of the game for Cadenza, because the move was useful (Until I got Mediarama). Once you get a Persona with better skills that are useful to you, then you can get rid of those other ones. I hope I helped, and good luck.

This game is fucking awesome so far, I'm hooked. Maxed my Academics, Charm and Courage, now I feel bored.

I feel pretty weak, I'm kinda struggling with enemies, and I'm stuck at the 98F boss (that magicus whatever). Any tips?

Have you been using the Arcade to train your Persona's stats? Also, try fusing new Personas as well. What's your strongest/mostly used one?
What, I thought those were useless lol (punching bag, etc.) so I didn't really bother.
The one I use now is Fortuna. My main attacks are the Magaru and Bufu, that's it.

I swear every time I see that all I can think of is the Yucatan peninsula....

Man I'm only on floor 17 so far and loving it. The difficulty took a welcomed spike this floor too. I think I'm gonna go for the romance with either Shinjiro or Akihiko. Or both

Using the Arcade for that shouldn't be necessary. I never used it and finished the game without any problems.

You should be able to do both.

I wanna date Mitsuru. :<
I built up some relationship with Yuko, but once some text read "She might get jealous when you go out with another girl" or something like that, I reset the game and never spoke to her again.

what exactly is "partial nudity" cuz the ratings say that

Girls in bikini's on the beach. ...And fighting in bikini's. =)

From what I can remember, some of the Personas you acquire are partially nude.

MARA. Nuff said.

Oh yeah, forgot about Mara. Penis in a carriage.

Speaking of Mara - I think that was one of the reasons why Atlus USA originally didn't want to translate the Snow Queen Quest in Persona: Revelations, the first Persona game. The first boss in the Snow Queen Quest is Mara, and that persona is one of the more vulgar ones. Because of how much the SEBEC (original quest) route was changed, it was too much effort for Atlus to "localize" and find another way to censor it. They didn't even remove it from the game - they just removed all access to it. If you have a gameshark, and a copy of Revelations Persona (with a PS1 of course) then you can play the Snow Queen Quest if you don't mind the weird characters that pop up in the text boxes. If you want to play through the Snow Queen Quest translated, well now you can with the Persona PSP remake which is much easier to obtain rather than the gameshark and ps1 disk. BTW - if you wonder what happened to Yukino - she's a mandatory player in the SQQ,

Mara in NA (Revelations not PSP): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Em_EE93YtYc (you can't unsee it xD)

Also - some trivia for you.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzHgXFk6V20 is the original Snow Queen theme.
For FES, they remade this song and included it as Track 1 in Tartarus after Fuuka joins. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22_g-osrNJA

On another note, how far are you? I'm training in Tartarus and I'm excited because Aki's persona just learned Ziodyne. Finally. It's 10/21, and there's one more full moon shadow left. I got the game on release and playing as a female is a nice change- I've played through the male protagonist three times already on FES. My team is Akihiko, Mitsuru and Koro-chan. It's a new experience to have the doggie in the party since I didn't use him before, ever.

LOL im glad to hear you got hooked on the game hope you keep Enjoying it.

I'd say to grind some more, personally if you're still having trouble. Use the teleporter and go to the last floor boss you beat, and then work your way up to the current one. If you understand what I mean, it's somewhere between 10-15 floors. There, the enemies are clearly the strongest, but it should not be so hard that it kills your entire party. If you reach the floor of this boss you can't beat, repeat the process until you are ready. Persona 3 isn't easy - all versions. The reason why the game is so long is because of all the dungeon crawling and grinding, but don't give up. You'll kick yourself if you do.

And really, now - the P3 and P4 games released- you either more than love it or you hate it. XD

Five words - persevere and never give up.

It's also much easier to complete now since you don't have to sit in front of the TV screen for 70 hours beating this game. The portability was why I was able to finish FFVII when I downloaded it to PSP.

(Luckily, though, if we have road trips, there's a DVD player in the back seat so I sometimes play Persona by inverting the power on my PS2 and connecting it. Works like a charm.)

Here's how, in case you don't know - (requires car DVD player with inputs)
a.) Buy an AC/DC power inverter. (AC plugs into the wall, DC is the cigarette lighter socket.)
b.) Plug all of the cords into their respective ports. (Playstation AC adapter into the power inverter, inverter into the socket. Then, AV cable into the port, and the three colored cords into the inputs. Don't forget to plug the controller.)
c.) Change the input on the TV until the game shows up - mine works on the AUX setting.
d.) Power on and play!

Also, overlooked by Atlus or so it seems- in the FES and original version as I remember, on 11/9 when Ryoji transfers to Gekkoukan High, and everyone in Toriyumi's class is going gaga over him, the students voiceover is in Japanese. It's still that way, at least on the female side of things in P3P.
