Gaming Persona 3 Portable its OUT!

Hopefully I made the right decision to wait for this version. I played a bit of FES on the PS2, but I didn't get far and stopped playing some time right before the start of the next month I think.

I'm glad there's a new Persona game, my only concern is that I won't finish it either

I always loved the Persona's theme, but I never played through them a lot.
Only few hours (less than 10) for each, but I would love to finish them one day.

The last one I tried was persona4 on PS2, it was nice.

Now, for the noob part (sorry, please be kind) :
I'm still on m33-6, Do I have to use the same method than usual 6.20 games (uncompress, decrypt and re-compress the iso)
or does it need the same method than KH, with prx and new folders ? (I never used that method yet, it will be new to me)

I undubbed the game last night, I can't be sure everything's without bugs but for now there doesn't seem to be a problem.

If you want to do it too :

1. buy and rip your japanese copy
2. buy and rip your english copy
3. use umdgen to extract umd0.cpk and umd1.cpk from your newly created isos
4. use quickbms with the cpk script to extract the data/sound/voice folder from umd0.cpk and umd1.cpk in the jp iso, and fully extract the us versions of the files.
5. replace the jp voice folder in the us version, for each *.cpk.
6. use the freeware version of the CRI File System (registration needed, or you may be able to find it elsewhere, it'll be 1.36.00 version in that case) to create new umd0.cpk and umd1.cpk files, using the folders you modified (set data alignment to 2048).
7. replace the two cpk files in your english iso.
8. ????
9. profit.

XD Now my problem with this game is... it's too free. I'm not sure if I'm doing fine with balancing my time with exploring Tartarus and pumping up my skills. So... what's your schedule like?

Ah, damn. I want Persona 3 Portable reeeeeeeeeeally badly. One of my favorite RPG's of all time. I don't have any money to pick it up though. =(

And thanks to InternHertz too, I think I'll undub it, english voices are irritating right from the start.
Though, I don't have all the tools yet, and don't know how to use them. I'll google them.

Only with Prometheus only if the ISO is fixed (with it should be by now) then it should work on GEN-D3.
