Ugh...P4's characters better than P3? Really? If i had those people for friends i'd probably be driven to murder randomly connected people until a group of strangely empowered teens stopped me.

They felt a lot more real to me, and the voice actors really aided in that.

But this isn't about P3 or P4 anyway.

Persona 3 felt the same every time.
Go to school in the day, go fighting at night, boss at full moon, repeat.

P4 didn't seem as repetitive, the story is great and as much as I like Akihiko...
Kanji > Akihiko.

Does Persona 2 skip the whole day dating sim esque thing? If so, I will gladly play this one. I couldn't play too much of P3P, as the day stuff just wasn't that interesting to me. It also disappointed me, as it had come geared as a suggestion being considered one of the best games on the PSP too.

The simulation aspects only started from P3, neither P2 nor P1 have them,
IIRC they have a different system, negotiating with demons.
Different choices affect what the demon does, eg: right choices make it flee.
