Hacking Perfect Setup and Firmware for M3i Zero?

Hello dear GBAtemp members,

I am owner of a 1.7 M3i Zero flashcard for several months now and I have just discovered this awesome place here. Unfortunately, there are a lot of different firmwares around, a lot of different loaders and stuff and I simply do not get smarter out of all the information. This is why I have just registered now and why I ask these questions, with the hope to get some suggestions and answers, so already thans in return for this. So..

• Which firmware should I use?
• What are the pro's and con's of all the various firmwares?
• What's the most game-compatible firmware at the moment, especially with newer games?
• What's the most stable firmware?
• What is the best setup of my microsd card?

Yes I know, quite a lot of questions and most of them are very similar, but I simply have no idea what's the right choice

* What's the most stable firmware? I think the official firmwares but i never had any problems with YSM3 yet.
* What is the best setup of my microsd card? What do you mean?

'Cos unless I'm doing something wrong it doesn't work. It boots up into YSMenu OK but if I select a game I get the usual 'Creating SAV' popup but on several of the games I get

Load rom errcode=-4
Please reset system

I thought it MIGHT be something to do with using a 8Gb SDHC so tried it with a smaller 2Gb SD card, & even tough I can get some games to run - most of them I get the error message

Games tried are:
3 in 1 Solitaire, Majong & Tangram (E) - FAILED
Bomberman - OK
Call of Atlantis (E) - FAILED
Drawn to Life Collection (E) - FAILED
Megamind - FAILED
Mario Kart DS - OK
Micheal Jackson The Experience - FAILED
Pokemon Ranger Guardian Signs - OK

You need to wait for them to update, as the games aren't registered in the files yet.

Thanks alot for the quick answer, so installing the M3 Quadboot, that includes the YSM3 should work fine I guess?

I meant we have to (PATIENTLY) wait for retrogamefan to update YSMenu.

The M3 Team are idiots if they lost their own source. They should distribute it when it's done.

Team M3 just issued a letter stating that they were going to be updating until then use quad boot it has ysmenu

2. Copy contents of the folder "microsd" in the Root of the cart
3. Of new folders called "NDS" provide in the Root of the map SD
4. Plays NDS copy in folder "NDS"
5. DScovery start
6. In list to the left of data carriers select
7. File-> download covers
8. Adapt announcement name Rome by wish
9. File-> update Card
10. if error message: No panic! Simply with "Close" close
11. SD in the M3
