I currently have a first generation i7 (Intel Quad Core running at 3.2Ghz. It's a 965 Extreme Edition) with 6GB ram and a Nvidia GTX 650. I get about 20FPS when it's not deciding to stutter/stop on shader cache related stuff.
I suspect my ram and GPU need an upgrade. The video card is starting to show it's age and my current mobo uses tri-channel DDR3 ram at 1333mhz. (so got 3 x 2GB Corsair ram with 3 available slots to bump it to a 12GB configuration).
I plan to at some point upgrade to 12GB of ram (any more would require me to ditch the 6GB of ram I have now else I'll break the tri-channel setup of my mobo.
) and get a newer video card.
My CPU should be more then enough though right? It's old, but it is a high end i7 CPU. I think it really is just more power hungry and maybe generates more heat then modern i7's. Mine has a pretty large heatsink on it so I've never had heat issues with it. I'd have to upgrade it to a water cooling setup if I ever wanted to overclock it so definitely not going to attempt it on this CPU.
Is there a decent cheap 1000x range Nvidia card I can upgrade to that won't cost an arm and a leg?
My current GPU has only 1GB of vram. It's really quite anemic by today's standards.
I'm surprised Cemu runs this game as well as it does. I have use a smaller shader cache else it's stutter city and takes forever to startup.
CPU/GPU may be fast enough, but ram constraints I feel is the main bottleneck with my setup.
