Was the video you saw also an amd @ 3.5ghz. Which amd processor do you have.

Minimum Specs I would consider good for BotW:
2nd gen core i5 at 3.5 to 4ghz
16gb ram (can get by with 8gb if pagefile is on ssd or you use AMD GPU)
Modern* gpu with 4gb vram (can get by with 2gb vram at native resolution)
*nothing older then GCN architecture for amd. Nothing older then Fermi for nvidia though more recent the better.

Then I suppose that my i5 3370k is not enough to run BOTW... Actually, I got 18-22FPS with some drops of FPS. I have I5 3370k + R9 FURY + 8GO RAM. Sad that I have a bad processor. And what if I overclock it? Maybe if I do a big one, with watercooling, it will really increase FPS?

Another question, with the next update of CEMU, do you think it will up FPS?

Where did that come from? Everything you have is at or above what I listed as my minimum recommended specs. Sure you don't mean 3570k? there is no 3370k to my knowledge.
Anyway you have a 3rd gen i5. If it is really a k model then overclocking it will help.
You have enough ram for an AMD card.
Your gpu is certainly modern enough. It is GCN architecture.

Not sure where anything in this thread would lead you to believe you have a bad processor?

If you aren't using the skip fence hack then 18-22fps is pretty much max. I've heard some people say they get better with high clocked kaby chips though.

I currently have a first generation i7 (Intel Quad Core running at 3.2Ghz. It's a 965 Extreme Edition) with 6GB ram and a Nvidia GTX 650. I get about 20FPS when it's not deciding to stutter/stop on shader cache related stuff.

I suspect my ram and GPU need an upgrade. The video card is starting to show it's age and my current mobo uses tri-channel DDR3 ram at 1333mhz. (so got 3 x 2GB Corsair ram with 3 available slots to bump it to a 12GB configuration).

I plan to at some point upgrade to 12GB of ram (any more would require me to ditch the 6GB of ram I have now else I'll break the tri-channel setup of my mobo. :P ) and get a newer video card.

My CPU should be more then enough though right? It's old, but it is a high end i7 CPU. I think it really is just more power hungry and maybe generates more heat then modern i7's. Mine has a pretty large heatsink on it so I've never had heat issues with it. I'd have to upgrade it to a water cooling setup if I ever wanted to overclock it so definitely not going to attempt it on this CPU. :P

Is there a decent cheap 1000x range Nvidia card I can upgrade to that won't cost an arm and a leg? :P

My current GPU has only 1GB of vram. It's really quite anemic by today's standards. :(

I'm surprised Cemu runs this game as well as it does. I have use a smaller shader cache else it's stutter city and takes forever to startup. :P

CPU/GPU may be fast enough, but ram constraints I feel is the main bottleneck with my setup.

RX471 is a bit too cheap for Cemu, don't forget this emu is still highly expérimental and eat a LOT of ressources (CPU+GPU) to just have something similar to Wii U hardware (I don't even talk avoir graphic packs). Beside that, AMD GPUs seem to be more problematic with Cemu than Nvidia GPUs.

5-10 fps with a i5 6500? Something is wrong. Do you have the skip fence hack enabled?

No idea...

How many frames should I be getting?

I've heard that CEMU runs better on an Nvidia graphics card

Not optimized for AMD

Honestly I can't tell you I don't have your cpu. But I can get 5 to 8 fps on a phenom II @3.3ghz. 10 fps with skip fence hack. Surely no one thinks an old phenom II could stand neck and neck with a skylake i5.

My old 2500k with an oc to 4.5 ghz with an nvidia card can average 24 fps. With 30 not uncommon. Unless using an amd gpu is holding you back that much. Which I don't think is the case. I've seen too many people get better with amd cards. Biggest complaint amd gpu owners have with botw is the weird shadow bug.

Ryzen and GTX10xx combo seems more reasonable tbh. With that, you could probably get stable 30fps just fine with AMD Ryzen 1700x and GTX1070.

Hi dudes, I been along GBA temp a few years and time ago I was deep with some dudes in the Wii scene, and I want to give thanks to this awesome forum. I've just registered because OMG! Breath of the wild is terrific, I'm playing it on a Alienware 14 with a Nvidia 765m, 16 GB DRR3 at 1333 and a i7 4700QM at 3.4 GHz. At average without the antialising of cemu I can get a constant 20 fps in towns and in the fields 25-30 FPS. Is it good or I should be getting more fps? Thanks in advance : )

Ryzen has great multi-core performance, but not so great single core. CEMU really needs great single core performance, so for now at least, an Intel chip will almost always outclass a comparable speed Ryzen.

Some can't afford i7 so in most cases, Ryzen is cheaper. It's compared to i7 mostly but i get what you're saying. i7 doesn't hurt if you have money. :)

Your fps is about what I would expect for your system. Actually you seem to be getting a little better then I would expect. The only people getting solid 30 are high clocked kabey chips. I5 or i7 k chips at around 4.8 ghz is what's needed for solid 30. And even then they are using skip fence hack.

Don't really see the point in updating it tbh

Yea you right, I thought about updating my PS3 CFW to 4.91, but why really, everything plays fine now. I guess for people that have already updated past 4.9 it would be helpful.

Thats true, personally I don't play it online at all, in fact, I deleted all wifi details on it once I installed CFW, so it won't connect and auto-update itself

I play most games that are on both PS3/360 strickly on the 360, but PS3 exclusives are really only games I play on the PS3 (You know me, I'm more of a Xbox junkie)
