I'm trying to partition around ~50GB from my SD Card to get Android into my Switch. Is there a way to go around it without needing to reset the whole SD card?

You absolutely can.

Instead of doing directly in Hekate, take your SD card out and plug it into a PC with a partitioning software such as Gparted installed.
You can now manually downsize your partition and create a new ones for Android.
You'll need to create several partitions with specific sizes and names.

See the switchroot wiki for more details.

Will this delete the old content the SD Card had? And also, is there a tutorial for this that I can go through?

It's always a good practice to backup your data before doing anything, but resizing a partition using any good partition manager software will preserve your data (assuming nothing goes wrong)

You can find plenty generic guide on how to use GParted (or any other partition manager) on internet.

As for creating the partition for Android and its installation check switchroot, they also have a discord if needed.
From what i see they released a distribution of Android 14 for Switch that does not require the same partition as previous version.

They also recommend using a SD card from a known good brand, again check their guides.
