Palm Pre

Anyone got it here? I'm thinking of getting one but the qwerty KB is putting me off. I just want to know if it has an onscreen keyboard if I want to turn it sideways and if has some kind of centralized app store like the iPhones.

Note: I am a current iPhone user.

it has some kind of app store, but it's not that full because the SDK was just released...

afaik it has no onscreen qwerty keyboard...but well...who wants this if you have a real keyboard?!
but I see no reason for a iphone owner to buy this...ok if you have the first one maybe...

Honestly, I think you would be downgrading if you switch to it. As it stands, the iPhone has the most support for it app-wise. I'm going to get an iPhone myself and dump my g1 in the garbage.

@triassic911 I'm not getting rid of my iPhone. The Company I work for is offering a ridiculous discount if employees signed up for Sprint. It basically allows me to have two service providers.

I own a treo 700w and my lady a G1 her phone might be newer but i think my treos keypad is far superior even though she has a qwerty too. and both of our phone are greater than iPhone in that respect, the Palm pre or G1 build quality doesnt feel as strong or as durable as my 700w, albiet the pre and g1 is much lighter...

Using the iPhone touch keyboard or pretty much any other touch screen based keyboard is pretty much fail. QWERTY boards are so much better for typing. I used to have a Treo 650 before it broke down, the keyboard was great for writing on and I have found the touch screen typing to be completely annoying, same goes for the DS.
