Hacking PAL VC Games, possible to play on NTSC / US Wii?

I have been searching around for a while now trying to figure this out. Can you play PAL Virtual Console games on an NTSC / USA Wii using the Twilight Hack / WAD installer? Do you have to make them region free first? If so, what utility do you use to make .wad games region free?

I believe it is posible is you use a program called free the wads

But only on n64 games, right?

I cannot for the life of me, get PAL SNES VC games region-freed (via freethewads) to work on NTSC consoles.

Any tips? (no SNES9x)

only vc games that are not 50hz 576i optimized are our hanabi festival (Gradius III and Mario Super Picross) games and PC engine games I believe.
So they maybe work.
try pc engine for example, and try both composite or component and see if any of them did work.
