Talk to your local Air Brusher of cars for tips on how to keep its quality. I personally dont have anything to offer, aside from NOT using finger paint....and avoid the Lost In BLUE!!!!

Why would you want to paint a non working ds, but if you want too I would go for something metalic and either with an air-brush or spray paint I guess.

when i painted my dreamcast i took it basically all apart so i could spray the top and bottom of the case seperatley aswell as the buttons...

if you really want to make it look good, you should get one of those gameboy screw driver things and take it apart...

it shouldn't be too hard to atleast get the case apart...

try making a stencil or something too, that could be cool, if you layered them you could pull off some cool effects...

this could be really awesome, especially since it's not working you can have no worries...

be sure to post pictures when your done =)

p.s.

whats broken about it?

If it's the regular DS you're talking about, then matte (or gloss, whatever floats your boat) model paints should do the trick very nicely. Airbrushing is highly recommended, and seek out tips to get an even coating as it will give you results that are second to none.

My brother was into modelling when he was younger, and he built two models of the same car, painted one and airbrushed the other. The results are incomparable, the airbrushed model is simply gorgeous.

Incidentally, I would recommend matte model paint (model being the key word there!) as gloss tends to feel rather uncomfortable under the hands after prolonged use. I know the DS is broken, but for those of you who would like to try it out on one which works...

I also think there are some matte finishes (like lacquer, but not shiny) which will protect the paint form constant contact. I'm not sure about this, but worth a look if you want to preserve your artwork when you're done. Stencils are strongly recommended - they give an amazing effect.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze

    Booo.

same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
