Fucktards, fucktards everywhere.

Seriously Lighty, you know gbatemp is home to a bunch of circle jerkers against ouya. They are ready to finish all over the place.

This isn't the eof, Lighty legitimately wanted to share information and everyone ruins the thread with their circlejerking like every single ouya thread.

Then explain, what can the Ouya do that other similarly powerful Android devices can't? What can an Android-based console do that other Android-based phones can't? Care to explain?

I thought you said this wasn't a serious conversation?

I've already went through this in the last thread. We don't need to relapse the whole thing over again.

Then don't. If this thread bothers you so much, either come up with an argument to back up on, or don't read the thread. Don't like it, don't read it. The OUYA doesn't appeal to most people, it's a niche market, I mean, not everyone is going to see it the same way you do, nor should they be forced to.

It's not the thread that bothers me, it's a handful of circle jerkers. I actually have an ouya console and well satisfied with my purchase.

Meanwhile, 95% of the people who don't have an ouya are having a nerdgasm with each other destroying this topic. I realize there are some downsides to it, but 80% of the people posting are just showing their epens to join the popular opinion.

Then don't let the circle-jerks bother you. Ignore them; given them the satisfaction of you getting annoyed only makes them do it more. Let people think what the want, if they want to be jerks, let them be jerks. No amount of convincing is going to stop them. You do your things, they'll do theirs. Ignoring them is the best option, given them the attention they want only results in more trolling.

for those of you saying that there is nobody hanging out at the booth....

I'm SO excited! I really cant wait for June 25th. Also, the Ouya got a big E3 system update today for those already with consoles!

@ Foxi: I also read that article was laughing my ass off! It was too funny!

Yeah... You do realize that pic contains 80% Ouya staff and 20% people attracted by the "FREE BEER!! WOOT!!!" sign, right? :-D

Sorry, couldn't help myself. Really though, I don't mean to add to the Ouya hate, but in all seriousness why the hell should I buy it over one of the bazillion other Android devices out there? I have no opinion of the console, really, but OTOH I have zero interest in it. Tell me why I should get one when I have a JXD S7100.

Lighty, thanks for the heads up that there was a major OUYA system upgrade. It fixed many of the issues I had with the sluggish system menus. The system is getting better and better every day.

No prob! BTW Bamdai Namco is currently in talks with Ouya

Sauce!!: https://www.facebook.com/NamcoBandai/posts/416886055016053

as far as I'm concerned, as long as we get ports of the iOS Power Rangers games and something Star Trek related, I'll be happy. As for the Ouya hate in this thread... "meh!" I know why I'm getting an Ouya and so far I'm mostly happy with what I have seen. People will have their opinions. I'm hoping for a two sided console war. One for people who can afford"premium content" (PS4, X1 and Wii U) and one for "bargin gamers" (Ouya, Game Stick, GamePop, MOJO)

A) I don't think you know what the term "circlejerk" means...
B) Sense of humour. Develop it. Lighty actually laughed about the P4R article and you should too because it was hilarious. :P

I actually quite like the idea of an Ouya, not for the gaming aspect per se, but more for the media aspect. Using this as a platform to use things such as Netflix/Lovefilm, sky player, BBC Iplayer ect on any TV with a HDMI. Now admittedly there are many devices that can already do this ( Core consoles such as PS3/360 to name a few ) but it's useful in ways.

I personally think we need to give it a bit of time to develop and gain a good library of Ouya optimised apps before we pass judgement , but hey that's just my opinion.

It may just be the fact that I'm a big fan of Android though .......

Ouya is trying to be a "revolutionary" side of gaming. I could even agree with that positioning if they did their job first. They delay their production 100000 times, and then we see their hole team sit in front of E3 drinking beer and doing unproductive tasks. I think that the "production issues", and "unexpected demand" that Ouya stated are laziness above all.

I say give it time. At the very least, you could always use one to play sideloaded copies of Android games. Especially if you have a device that isn't aspowerful but access to buy said games. The 25th can't get here fast enough! I have a preorderd system at my local Gamestop and the wait is killing me!
