This guide alone only gives you the OTP, which is the "DNA" of your 3DS (it contains console-unique information). But you then use the OTP to install ARM9LoaderHax, which gives you the ability to run Brahma payloads (e.g. CFW) from coldboot (real coldboot, just after the power is turned on and the bootroms have run, not menuhax coldboot). While right now all this offers is 100% boot rates, faster booting speeds, and working super stable 3D on boot, it has the potential to turn into much more than that (think BootMii from the Wii, booting other operating systems like Linux from coldboot, etc.).

Welp, I tried downgrading a fresh emuNAND and I got the same "An error has occurred" while downgrading. I checked the hash of the zip file for the update pack but oh well I guess>

lol, you say your internets garbage but thats 3 times the speed I get.

I am currently using 4.2 sysnand and 9.2 emunand with gateway using the MSET exploit, I was thinking of switching to rxtools + homemenuhax for cold booting, should I just wait for this instead?
