Does this attack method only work on N3ds? This guide says it works on all 3ds except 1 region but the guide linked below says only N3ds have an arm9loader which I assume is needed for arm9loaderhax to work.

So you got your N3DS on firmware 2.1? I don't understand why mine is bricked for the 4th time. I guess I am just fated to be an end user who waits for user-friendly GUIs.

Boot without an SD card in. If it still doesn't turn on properly after that, then it probably is bricked, yes.

Yes. You need to use SD or SDHC cards. SDXC cards won't work.

This is almost certainly a stupid question but: Could you get your OTP from Emunand version 2.x? For instance, use menuhax to cold boot into emunand and downgrade that then floow the guide, etc?
