You can't. But just downgrade your emuNAND. And then, if that went successfully, inject your emuNAND to your sysNAND.

Ahh, well okay. My emuNAND is unlinked/has a different ID from my sysNAND, that won't cause a problem right? And is there any way to make sure that the downgraded emuNAND is okay? Like functional I mean, that way I don't flash a corrupt emuNAND to sysNAND or something

Just backup everything and make a clean emuNAND.

Don't you have to hex edit the xorpads after decrypting them and encrypt them back into the emunand to make it work properly with the sysnand before linking it?

For O3DS only!!

1. Backup your data, your sysNAND and your emuNAND
2. Make a clean emuNAND
3. Install SysUpdater CIA on emuNAND
4. Downgrade emuNAND to 2.1
5. Backup emuNAND, and flash that backup to your sysNAND

After the otp dump you inject the sysnand backup from 9.2 with the decrypt9.bin

Well, I followed the guide closely, using the most recent versions of sysUpdater and Decrypt9, and my N3DS is bricked after the 2.1 downgrade. I've gone through the entire guide 3 times; every time, it's bricked after the downgrade, and I have to restore using a hardmod and try again. It just won't work for me.

Edit: Just wanted to say that I have tried booting with and without an SD card. Same bricked 3DS either way.

Since you have a hard mod you don't have to use the emunand downgrade method, which I also had problems with. I have written a tutorial explaining how I downgraded sysnand directly to 2.1 using my hard mod. It might help you too
