I am using a N3dsxl and have done everything up to the downgrade step but everytime i go to downgrade to 2.1 i get titleException failed to get cia file info any help would be great

I've just noticed there are a couple of familiar faces from GAF around here as well. Hey guys, longtime lurker here! I can't really create an account but I regularly browse there almost everyday. Been lurking since around the time acebandage and crew were shaking things up in Nintendo hype threads some years ago haha.
Ahem. Anyway, I've been strongly considering hardmodding my brand new... new3dsxl, both because of this and because I love tinkering. Still, compatible USB card readers are next to impossible to find here, so IDK. Decisions, decisions. And yeah, I did read about today's upcoming updated method. Looking forward to it!

Just inject FBI into health&safety (in emuNANd obviously)and install sysupdater on sd. Make sure you're always in emuNAND.

Would be possible from a9lh to somehow yield control to sysnand? Afaik, and if it hasn't changed too much from 32c3, firm0 is discarded and firm1 decrypts to garbage so...

I mean perfoming a stealthy boot, like a9lh wasn't there at all. I understand some things must be done even if this is possible (I'm ignoring right now the screeninit issue).

A regular sysnand boot (firmlaunch?), nothing fancy, no modifications made.

Could be done by firmlaunching the corresponding FIRM to your sysNAND version.

I would need to have that firm loaded from sd with a9lh, wouldn't I? And I can just decide if I want to launch sysnand or an application with full privileges. I'm thinking of something alike BootMii.
