OTP Guide

Full Guide Release!

https://plailect.github.io/OTP/

All regions now supported!

If you appreciate this guide and the work I put into maintaining it, I accept donations through both Bitcoin and PayPal.

If you felt like the guide helped you out then I'd really appreciate it! If I get enough I may buy a 2DS for testing hardware stuff so I don't break another N3DS.

If the guide didn't help you out then I'm really sorry about that :(

Downgrading right now... :(

At least you have an O3DS and process is slightly easier :P Good luck.

I'm going through the process on a N3DS with no way to currently upgrade again. Not too bothered having a useless 3DS for a few days, have a lot of other work to do.

How big are the xorpads supposed to be? Just so I can double check it's correct. Also, Decrypt9 didn't give me the option to go back to the menu after dumping, only to reboot the 3DS. Is that normal?

Same here.

Dang forgot to remove menuhax from sysnand when following that guide. Think I'll have issues starting part 2 of the guide. Will just have to do emunand9 step again after fixing sysnand.

Menuhax is a file on the SD card... Not on NAND.

Anyway, to the people who did this on N3DS: how did you restore NAND? Did you update to 6.x and then use spider, and you confirm that worked?

Yeah but when you're cloning the sysnand to emunand at the end of step 1 doesn't it copy over the menuhax settings? (Follow the options to "Complete EmuNAND Setup.)

If so it would potentially leave you in a never ending bootloop when trying to boot into emunand?

IIRC install spider before downgrade, update to 4.x-9.2 VIA GAMECARD!!! And then use spider

Spider is already in the 2.1E package (just checked the title ID). A person above said that updating with Pokemon to 6.x and then using spider (the internet browser) worked, so I'd like to have confirmation.

I thought using any cart upgrade on a N3DS would cause a brick? Maybe not. Either way I'll wait for whatever the browser nand restore option might be.

But 2.1.0-7E packages aren't ready yet ?

@capito27 tried installing the browser before and it didn't work... So, idk.

.

They are! The op updated the guide yesterday ☺️

I have a n3ds and I'm reading conflicting reports regarding nand restoration. I'm not against hard modding my system (I've done my o3ds a few times LoL) but I'd rather not if there's a way to restore w/o a cart. (Which might be happening soon)

Does any1 confirm that?
I've heard that upgrading a n3ds with a pokemon cart would be fine...
