Hacking Original R4 Setup Help

So I bought the original r4 from nds-card and no it's not a clone. Basically I was wondering how to set it up! All online guides after using them I get stuck on a endless loading screen when booting with the R4 in? Can anyone link a proper guide or help? (Got woodr4 and put the dsmenu and rpg folders on root with my roms also on root)
