You can play other systems' games on your DS, eg, SNES, on your DS with the emulator. Thats what an emulator does. There's like Lameboy, just to name one, which I think plays GBC games.

Nope to NES. My DS just plays DS games and media.

But when you get your R4, make sure that you get Kernel 1.11, DSOrganize, LMP, Mario Kart and maybe Cooking Mama. And if you want to play Castelvania, get a Kingston MicroSD, cuz Sandisk freezes.

lol, no biggie.. the thread was near pointless. I just wanted to post that I like the R4. I have had one for a while now, and with a lot of options to try out, I still went back to the R4.

Just about all the posts in the thread were helpful to someone so it's all good.

On another note about the download play,.... the Zelda Battle Mode is a lot of fun lol. That and NSMB... me and the kiddo had a lot of fun with those.

The internet browser is run on your DS. Personally, all I use DSO for is to hide my files and delete stuff. And however you put the files on your computer is how it appears in the R4 menus. It can't sort automatically.

Also I use DSOrganiser to manage my save games. If you play the Pokemon D/P games you can appreciate this.

I have a Pokemon that you can only get at a special event. I traded it from my retail cart to my R4 (using another DS). Then using DSOrganizer I copied that save game file to a folder on the R4 called "pokemon-bak". Then I trade that Pokemon back to my retail cart.

Now I just delete the save game from the root directory and copy that save game in the backup folder with the special Poke back to the root. Then I can trade that special Poke to someone else for a worthless one. They now have the good one. I soft reset the DS, delete the save game in the root and repeat the process... over and over.

I was like Santa Claus!

If you share the R4 with someone else, this is how you can each manage your own save game. Just cut and paste them between the root and a backup folder, or rename them, etc without needing a PC.

Oh, and it let's you browse the web, manage to-do lists and all that crap too. But I never use those. I've got better devices to do that...
