They are but most CFW does not load NATIVE_FIRM from the updated titles, instead it loads NATIVE_FIRM from firmware.bin. Thus, if they start checking the NATIVE_FIRM version merely doing a system update in emunand wouldn't be enough.

You'd need 10.5 native firm, right? Would you also need to be on 10.5 nand instead of say, 10.3?

You sure you updated your emuNAND then? I never lost my games when going to 10.5 emuNAND on my 2DS.

I can confirm that when updating the friend system module, connecting to online services like in ORAS work. So there's your culprit.

I can confirm that installing the updated friends list module did indeed work on sysnand.

I like to live dangerously on sysnand.

That means you never unlinked your Nands try booting with ReiNand not rxTools

I've updated this 'friends system-module' and CVer, so it displays 10.5 in system settings while it actually isn't. I can get to eShop/Miiverse/Friends list just fine.
I have Tubehax DNS on to avoid this 10.3 browser nag, would I be able to downgrade the N3DS browser to basically remove this nag so I can test online?
