Nintendo will likely bring it anyway, so why bother with a petition? It's not like Nintendo are going to abandon their own console, even if Capcom foolishly is.

I'm not gonna sign a stupid-ass petition for a game that isn't likely to come out. I'd rather have new games, like Xenoblade and The Last Story come to America.

My opinion: OoT had such a high reputation that it made sense to sell it as a cart. I think that Ninty should make a NEW Zelda game; the 3DS should have some fresh titles, NOT a collection of remakes to it's name. If Nintendo really wants to remake old games, they should release them as 3DSware.

And it will have a new Zelda game. You're making it sound like Nintendo will never release a new Zelda game and just release old games from now on.

The feeling I got from this thread suggests that everyone thinks that the 3DS is a system destined for only remakes...

While Majora's Mask is actually my favourite Zelda game, petitioning this early on is just pointless. Nintendo would just completely disregard this in their actual viability studies.
As much as I would love to see a remake of Majora's Mask, if Nintendo were going to use their money to develop one thing, I think I would much rather see a new Zelda game entirely instead of a remake.
Again, Nintendo would not have to develop the game so devoutly.
Grezzo have already developed the OoT3D engine and assets, this can be used to build MM 3D, with less than total participation from Nintendo.

I do think someone need to pass a long we need a Master Quest or a Mask Quest (

) if
they do remake the game. Reverse world with harder enemies shouldn't be hard to do again.

This is the dumbest "Operation _____" I've ever seen.

At least Operation Rainfall wanted people to get an equal shot at games. Sure, they kinda lacked an understanding of how shit sells in the US, but overall, good cause.

This is just people wanting yet another 3DS remake. Go play the original fucking game. These people are dunces.

I'm gonna provoke you here for fun and say, "You're just jealous you don't have a 3DS, so go away and stop bein a bum, you dunce."

Quite the opposite, I laugh at the fools who bought a 3DS.
Oh, come now. The 3DS isn't BAD. It's just having a bad first year. Chances are, it'll pick up by mid 2012.

Of course, that's not an excuse for Nintendo. They really messed up it's launch. The same could happen to the Vita, for all we know.

If Sony's website of titles launching at "system launch" is correct, then no, it won't.

It's not like they dropped the ball on launch and quickly recovered. They dropped the ball and it's been sitting there ever since. When the only decent Nintendo first parties are games you've already played and third party games are either few and far between or just rip offs and ports, then there's something wrong.

They dropped the ball and basically have just been staring at it since then. When the only thing that sells their system significantly better is a different color, then something is really wrong.

EDIT: But I digress. This is just an excuse for Nintendo to slap out another lame port/remake and then say that they're so "into their fans" instead of them just being the lazy asses they are. Fuck developing new games, we can port old ones!

Disregarding everything else you just said, where does it say that? I can't seem to find it.

Anyway, As long remakes doesn't effect new games, I didn't really care.

http://us.playstation.com/psvita/games-and-media/

All the games say "hardware launch" as a release date. I could be misinterpreting.

If you disregard everything he just said you'd be ignoring his post. Your post is an oxymoron.

Well I do love my remakes

...if they're good, that is. If it's another OoT, I'm not interested. If it's a Fire Red, I say go for it.

Well, if Nintendo can make money making remakes, then what is the opinion of one person gonna do to stop it?

Whatever makes them the most money.

The same thing it did to Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes, IGN ruined the sales of a great game (Gamespot and Metacritic too, despite the fact that the user ratings were great).

As to the latter statement, this is starting to sound like CoD or Pokemon, in which case I'd do everything in my power to change that.
