    OpenTTD DS Alpha 3
Transport Tycoon port of a clone

A port of the open source clone of Transport Tycoon, players compete against rivaling transport companies to try and make the most profit off their travelers. Download and changelog below.

[title:Changes]- it is now possible to load bigger maps, up to 128x256.
    - based on r11844
    - maps up to 256x128 running (but saving only works for 64x64 right now)
    - saving and loading works
    - in openttd.cfg you can define a path where your data resides
    - loading time greatly reduced from 45 seconds to 15 seconds
    - rewritten the blitter to free 96KB of main RAM

What?! I didn't know this existed. Man, this is a dream come true. I urge everyone to play this game if they have not.

Sweet! I've been playing OpenTTD for a couple months now. very cool to see someone porting this addicting sim over to the DS. [IMG] I hope they can rework the menu's a bit though looks a tad squishy. [IMG] Gonna have to check this out.

On a side note: the Open TTD needs you to own the original TTD CD to play. I'm guessing this is the same. [IMG]

RCT isn't half as good as TTD [IMG]

And this is a very early development version.

This is so true. I like RCT, but there's something about TTD. It's almost perfect in every way. Obviously it demands attention if it has such a massive following, being that it's getting up in age. Enough of a following to recreate the game into a flourishing open source project. But I think what really makes it worth while, is the multi player. Here's hoping (but not too much, since it's probably a tall order to fill) that they can get things squared away and maybe implement some multi player.
