Transport Tycoon port of a clone


A port of the open source clone of Transport Tycoon, players compete against rivaling transport companies to try and make the most profit off their travelers. Download and changelog below.

[title:Changes]- it is now possible to load bigger maps, up to 128x256.
- based on r11844
- maps up to 256x128 running (but saving only works for 64x64 right now)
- saving and loading works
- in openttd.cfg you can define a path where your data resides
- loading time greatly reduced from 45 seconds to 15 seconds
- rewritten the blitter to free 96KB of main RAM

Sweet! I've been playing OpenTTD for a couple months now. very cool to see someone porting this addicting sim over to the DS.

I hope they can rework the menu's a bit though looks a tad squishy.

Gonna have to check this out.

On a side note: the Open TTD needs you to own the original TTD CD to play. I'm guessing this is the same.

This looks good, but as linki said, it would be great to see Rollercoaster Tycoon someday... That game kicked ass

RCT isn't half as good as TTD

And this is a very early development version.

This is so true. I like RCT, but there's something about TTD. It's almost perfect in every way. Obviously it demands attention if it has such a massive following, being that it's getting up in age. Enough of a following to recreate the game into a flourishing open source project. But I think what really makes it worth while, is the multi player. Here's hoping (but not too much, since it's probably a tall order to fill) that they can get things squared away and maybe implement some multi player.

Hmmmm seems fun but i tried to run it on my flash cart
but it says it can't find "sample.cat"
but i don't seem to find that file anywhere
any help?
