If you don't know what OpenRCT2 is, it's a project that's making Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 Open source https://openrct2.org/ And since i keep seeing "Without the source code, it's impossible(or very hard) to port a game without the source code to the 3ds, why not have someone try to port this gem? it's open source, well.. as open source as it can get at this stage

I've looked around, and some people have been trying to go at it, but most of the threads are abandoned, or snipped out
I would want to try, but i know less than nothing about 3ds development, and anything involving making homebrew for any platform.. for that matter

EDIT: if someone does get working on this, i could test it, as i have an N3DS, O3DS, and RCT2 on steam that i could use the base files with

I'd say it's probably possible considering it builds into a full Linux executable, but it would be a lot of work to make it deal with 3DS screens I'd wager, Not impossible though.

EDIT: Also uses SDL, so you'd have to make it render straight to the 3DS's framebuffers.

Yeah. Seems like an active project. I also already searched for something that existed and only that showed up.

I cant speak on specifics of this subject, or offer assistance, since its way out of my league.

I just wanted to say I NEED this in my life.
RCT2 to-go, handheld style, has always been a dream of mine.
