Hey there,

I've been having this issue with my DSTT for a while now, I'm using a 8 gb Kingston sd card with it.

I've used the Panasonic SD formatter on my card, and then copied on the firmware from the following address I got from another thread. http://filetrip.net/f7527-DSTT-kernel-1-17a07.html. I copied the TTMenu folder and the TTMENU DAT file to the SD Card.

I then copied my games back onto the SD card.

The DSTT card loads up fine, and it seems to be creating a sav file before I get a message stating the following.

[ROM Loading failed]
Open TTMENU.SYS error!
Please reset system

I'm hoping this isn't a big issue, but would rather ask for help then mess around with the card for hours.

Thanks in advance,

I just copied over the TTMENU DAT file, and the TTMENU folder from the lastest firmware.

Started the DS up and I am still encountering the same problem.

I looked at my SD card after the problem and can't seem to find a TTMENU System file on my card.

Any ideas?

When I formatted my SD card, I did a full format with ERASE ON. When the formatting was done it said it was successful, but didn't ERASE because something did not support that feature. Not sure if this is part of the problem, but thought I'd mention it.

Possibly a clone DSTT?

I'm not sure what the FakeKiller in the official firmware will do to a card, but I believe it is recoverable -- I think you need either another Slot1 card or a Slot2 device.

It could also just be a bad card and something came loose/broke/whatever.

sys error is a typicall clone dstt hardware problem, you have only to trash it !
original dstt are cheap so better to buy another flashcard directly
No, buying a new DSTT is just a waste of money, it isn't a bad flashcard, but for a couple of bucks more you can get a much better one.
