Hacking oops. did i brick my ds?

when i turn it on it goes to the FIRST start screen (the one when you turn the DS lite on for the first time).
nintendo said they would repair it but i gotta wonder if i broke some sort of warranty by using my dsx on it. true or false?

I think using any unlicenced accessory voids the warranty, but you don't have to tell them about using the DSX. I doubt they will ask.

using flashcards and things of that nature do not void your warranty. I've had pretty shitty luck with nintendo customer support, and this is what I've come up with. If you get an arabic guy, or anyone with an accent, hang up, and call again. They usually tend to mess you up, on my 2nd hinge crack I was told it was gonna cost me $50 to replace my DSLite. Called again, no questions asked, and it was free.

Explain your position to nintendo and see if your problem is covered under a warranty. Do not mention anything about owning a flashcard. Just because they work at nintendo, doesn't mean they play videogames, or are 'gamers', so they would probably have no clue what your talking about anyways.

DO NOT tell them you were using a flashcart - It is irrelevant.
Just tell them it's started playing up, you want it replaced/repaired and NO, you DIDN't do ANYTHING except use it in it's intended manner.

Well from the Start I don't think you can brick a DS with a FLASH CART only way that can happen if you didn't read the instructions for the FLASH-ME Process....But anyways Do not mention you used a flash Cart or they may Void your warranty I think.....

Just tell them to repair it and it got damaged. Bricking/using flashcards would break your warranty.
