Make sure they are in the right folder and uncompressed.
Then goto the Tools menu and then Options.
In Options are Modules and Plugins to turn them on or off.

I assume you're talking about Offline list, if not, disregard the following.
Since 7zip has been added (couple versions ago), the plugin and module system has been modified. So any old plugins or module won't work anymore, only the standard ones that are included with the download (wich have been rewritten) works.

Or, I also heard that if you use flash memory, it can act as more "RAM" at least windows tell me when I stick a flash drive into it. -
