Just finished an updated video installing the newer HWFLY Oled chip (The proper one with the debug port)
I go over everything I've learned along the way along with some tips for the installation.
I go over the PSAs, the good chips, the bad chips, all that shit.
A ton as gone on in the OLED scene within a short amount of time. A bunch of products released, some good, most bad.
My opinions on the chips are just my opinions. that being said I believe that the Oled chip with the Debug port is the one that you want.
Video is backed up to Odysee, in the event that it goes down it'll still be available over there.

Nice video! Thanks! Do you mind sharing the name of the vendor (or the link directly) on Ali for the « good kit »?
I only find « oled pack » with the straight connector. If I understand correctly you are using the HWFLY Core + 3.3v L cable right?

Also, a reputable local modding console shop told me that they have SX original chip in stock and they can install it in my OLED with a new Firmware. He told me the SX chip are using better component compared to the HWFLY clones. What is your opinion on this?

Here's what he told me when asked if he could install a HWFly on my oled :
"[...] I would not use QSB Data since it's worth sh*t [...]. I only use original SX reflashed."

Thanks man!
No this is not a hwfly core. It's a chip specifically designed for the OLED and it's reflashable.
As far as I'm concerned, these chips function just as good as the legit sx chips
Vendors I use are E-GAMES CITY Store or Global E-SPORTS GAME Alliance Store
hwfly cores, and lites are supar. There's another Oled chip with dual flexes that isn't flashable and I personally think it's a dogshit chip.
There's no benefit to installing an SX lite over one of these exept for bragging rights as they're hard to find.
Using an SX Core is no bueno as it's very bulky and there's no clean way of getting it to fit.

hello there, was also trying to find the good kit after coming across this post and i had 0 luck finding any sort of kid on the stores mentioned, they no longer sell them or any other info to help find the proper good ones? I have a guy that is gonna do the work for me as he does this for a living but i wanna make sure i get him good and proper components and not cheapy ones.

I know this is a rather late response, found this thread looking for a oled install video but he mentioned the store already on aliexpress. A quick search in that store shows this (but is missing full pics on parts so buyer beware!) -

Here's a link to another seller and this appears to be the right one but perhaps OP could confirm.

Edit 2 - Looks like these things go up/down all the time so its a cat and mouse game. Just gotta search for the chip/cables and then reach out to the stores and ask them for a link to buy.

Why the video is private now cant see it

I've never in my life done any kind of soldering or electrical work, I've never even opened any electronics before, and I get nervous even opening or touching my pc just when removing dust.

I really want to homebrew a switch OLED, and I'm willing to dedicate time and money to learning if I have to.

Is there anything I should learn before attempting to do the things you've done in this video? Maybe there are some starter kits for simpler electronic soldering, or a youtube course on what an "Ohm" is for example?

You would be far better served finding someone to do the install or buying premodded.

If you still want to learn you should find some electronics repair videos doing microsoldering component repair. You can practice on an old laptop motherboard or something else with small smd components.
