This Topic contains (or will contain) all necessary info you need to fully softmod your wii. If you still can’t find what you are looking for, use the Search Function

<!--coloro:#FF0000--><span style="color:#FF0000"><!--/coloro-->Help needed!<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc--> This is basically an experiment, but it might actually work!
The idea is that we collect all wii errors (with solutions) at one place. To do this, I have made a new Google file.:
<img src="http://kennygunie.free.fr/emoticons/smileys/zz-Symbols/arrow2.png" border="0" class="linked-image" /> Error list: <a href="http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AsG1QflcbnLndE5JQUpIbS1BZEEyb2VzSTJad2RZNlE&hl=en" target="_blank">link</a>

First open the error list and see if you can add something to the ones that are already there. You can also add new errors if you know some. Please use the form to add new errors:
<img src="http://kennygunie.free.fr/emoticons/smileys/zz-Symbols/arrow2.png" border="0" class="linked-image" /> Form: <a href="http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?hl=en&formkey=dE5JQUpIbS1BZEEyb2VzSTJad2RZNlE6MA" target="_blank">link</a>

If you use the form, the date and time of addition will be shown in the left column, so we can see when the error was added. If the solution is filled-in, the time can be removed. As precaution, there will be made a backup from time to time (as everyone can edit the page!)
<!--sizeo:3--><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo-->
<b>Common errors</b><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec-->

<b>No vulnerable IOS found</b>
You trucha patched all IOS needed by the hackmii installer. You can install a clean version of IOS34 with DOP-IOS MOD or wad manager.

<b>System files are corrupted</b>
If this occurs after installing a wad, its a banner brick. -> Uninstall the bad wad
If it occurs after installing a trucha patched system menu IOS -> Boot into preloader (priiloader) and run the preloader installer again (with the HBC)
There is also a VERY small chance it is a mail brick. In that case, you have to boot the wii into maintenance mode.

Nice work TJ,

In your Complete Softmod Guide, in section 3) Trucha Bug, cIOS & preloader

* Preloader & hacks: (there are no hacks for J wiis, but these wiis can still use preloader)

Maybe you can make a slight change there, as I have added a basic JPN v4.1 hacks.ini for Japanese Wiis.

I have already updated this info in the wiki.

http://wiibrew.org/wiki/preloader and http://wiibrew.org/wiki/preloader/hacks

System Menu isnt IOS2. It isnt an IOS at all. The title ID is similar to that of an IOS, and it could be read as IOS2, but it isnt an IOS, so should not be referred to as IOS2.

Ofcourse they need your topic, that's just bullshit. It's probably the worst time in the year to launch this topic though, with the site being down for 2 days thanks to Pokemon and Scribblenauts (and add M&L on top of that too).
Just wait, it will get appreciated, don't cry

Yea my guide didn't get stickied for like a week. (It might have been a little bit sooner, but I went to my apartment and didn't have internet access for a little while so I'm not EXACTLY sure when it got stickied, but it was approximately a week.)
