Hacking (OLD) 3DS XL w/ Ver. 9.2.0-20U. Can I use a Gateway3DS?

I have a 3DS with the specs from the post title.

I want to know if I can use the GW3DS with my current system.

Also, will I be able to play on Wifi with original game cartridges while still being able to use the GW3DS?
Or do games make me update my firmware to play on Wifi?

Yes, you can use Gateway. You'll be able to play games with their latest downloaded updates over wifi with your original game cartridges in emuNAND via Classic Mode.
