So, I can already play backup discs or pirated discs or whatever you want to call it!

Sometimes, after inserting the CD, it gets an error. the one that goes "an error has occured blah blah...." It' getting quite irritating because it sometimes takes me 10 minutes to boot a game!

Help?

The Wii is incredibly picky as to what discs, and speed you burn the games at. It also depends on the burner that you use too. You need to find the "sweet spot" for making your games.

My winning combination is:
Pioneer DVR-216D burner
Taiyo Yuden TYG02 discs
Burn at 8x

Also get good quality discs, don't just get cheapo ones, they won't do well.

Invest in a Pioneer 111D/112D burner.

I've never had a bad disc with that burner & imgburn at 4x.

As far as I could tell from these forums, some Wii's disc drive is different from the others, thus saying that this is perfect burner is invalid argument, since his Wii might not like discs it burned.

Anyway, I doubt the burner has anything to do with it anyway, just the DVD type -R or +R and program you burn with. ( IMGBurn for the win )
