i now dont need to worry while getting a PSP

i can always downgrade it, and even if when the PSN Store comes back up, another update comes in, i think that retail stores would not update their PSP's... too much trouble maybe?

So, no 6.20 for everyone? That sucks on ice

It's because it's simply not possible on all 3000's as the 07 and 09G's won't support that firmware. It's like downgrading a launch slim below 3.60...not possible.

hunter, No you can't. The downgrader will exit it you try to downgrade an 07 or 09 to 6.20 and vice versa (anything other than an 07/09 can only go to 6.20 and not 6.35)

It's brick protection.

Yeah, I know. I just didn't think of it

Well, that's a shame. I only hope that ColdBird and VirtousFlame will keep working on a "permanent" 6.35 version, then.

Woah. While you can downgrade 6.38, the firmware that you download TO depends on what the PSP originally had installed.

Both 6.x PRO-B5 versions have the same features (as far as hacked PSPs go). The difference is 6.35 is temporary-only, while 6.20 can be permanently patched in.

So can all PSP Go systems be downgraded to 6.20 or just certain ones? I am thinking of getting a PSP Go now that there is a downgrader.

I remember reading somewhere that 6.35 was less compatible than 6.20 in some regards (POPS, maybe? Can't remember), maybe that was fixed in a recent update?

Plus if you wanted a Permanent 6.20 firmware wouldn't PRO be the better choice?

every psp Go has 05g so every psp Go can be downgraded to 6.20, indeed.

Yeah, because PRO has inferno, while TN-E doesn't.

The downgrade is to 6.20 right now, so anything above 05g can't use this (lack of 6.20 support).
That post was correct -- a few hours ago. The scene moves quick!

QUOTEUpdate: some1 just added 07g/09g support. So if you have one of those you need to place the 6.35 update in PSP/GAME/UPDATE, which I guess implies you’re downgrading to 6.35 and cannot go any lower. If you’re sporting hardware less than 07g, use the 6.20 update. And you can still downgrade from 6.31 or 6.35, just like Davee’s.
