your right thats where i messed up dangitIt worked.
I thought that 1.7.5 was the "current" version. but a lot of your test builds are labeled 1.5.7
the 14.00 dependency file worked?

I'll get to test in a minute and edit this post. But if the they where wrong why did it work for some people?
thats not a problem anymore with the controllerYep! I think the one in test build 3 might be corrupted.
Incidentally, what was the issue with controllers and needing to use an external keyboard to configure them?

That's the thing. it fixed my issue... but it might not fix yours. Won't know until you try it out too.

if anyone is getting the usb hdd nag in retroarch dont use device portal to install as game since it will not give you permissions so unless you move the app to games on dev mode it wont do anything
I'm using Exfat and it works fineThanks for getting it working. Umm what format should my external be? Exfat?
im using fat32 and it works fineThanks for getting it working. Umm what format should my external be? Exfat?
Thanks umm this might not be related and hopefully only on the switch. But does exfat have corruption problems if things arnt closed properly?I'm using Exfat and it works fine
Nah that's just a Switch problemThanks umm this might not be related and hopefully only on the switch. But does exfat have corruption problems if things arnt closed properly?
Loading a ps1 iso with this new storage method takes around 30+ (through my USB) whereas before it would take less than 10 sec maybe..I no it was mentioned about the slow loading times. Have you two had abit of a comparison to see if either format loads quicker out of exfat and fat32?
rom loading is gonna be alittle slow in general due to retroarch taking its sweet time to load thingsI know it was mentioned about the slow loading times. Have you two had abit of a comparison to see if either format loads quicker out of exfat and fat32?
the reason psx games take so long is because 2 thingsLoading a ps1 iso with this new storage method takes around 30+ (through my USB) whereas before it would take less than 10 sec maybe..
I'm guessing this will get faster over time with updates though, because right now that's really bad
and make things like (full rom set) playlists impossible, unless your willing to wait 60 sec between scrolling lists
i still cannot get playlists to work
I've tried loading the core then scanning and I've tried just scanning 1 rom and still nothing
is it because there on the usb? or because there compressed? no permissions?
Creating Playlists through the built in scanning has always been spotty for me on all Retroarch platforms, that's why I always create my own manually with playlist buddy, but it's pointless because when the playlists are listed on the ui it performs so slowly its basically unusable.rom loading is gonna be alittle slow in general due to retroarch taking its sweet time to load things
fat32 shouldnt be any slower at loading games then any other format (that i know of)

the reason psx games take so long is because 2 things
1 the core doesnt support vfs
2 it has to copy the rom over to the internal to run said game because of reason 1

I have about 10 full playlists set up on here and I can assure you it's unusable. If I were to scroll from left to right it would take at least 6 mins before it would cyle them, before it would take 3-4 sec.Hmm, maybe it's just because I only have the one playlist made so far, but the one I have is quite speedy.
I've never used RetroArch before, preferring to just have individual emulators. But on the Xbox One version, the only thing that gave the built-in scanning fits was Mame.
I'm in the mood for watching TV until I fall asleep, so I think I'll set my XB1 to stay awake and let it scan everything I have and see where it's at in the morning and what (if any) lag issues I have as a result.
