the only issue i have is that i can't fully resotre because i dont have the exfat update , i'm still on 4.1 and never connected my switch online, were the sigpatches Released by rei himself or were they leaked ? i'd rather use something he officially releases..

Same issue here, 4.1, no Ex-fat update and I have no idea how I would dealal with that issue.

step 2 is ok, but definitelly missing steps between 1 and 2, unless you already know how step 2 works.

what are you trying to do exactly ? I don't get the point when readding your steps 3 and 4.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I've put up a compiled build of ReiNX and a hekate configured (based on latest sd files 5.2.1) version on xbins. Tested it earlier, works as advertised.

Don't know about that. Updated to latest, didn't want to mess with the tutorial for not blowing efuses. Stuff works fine for me no reason not to update IMO unless you are holding out for an untethered boot and at some point I'd expect it to work on 5.x+ anyway.

But Tinfoil does work on 4.1 unless you're referring to something else that Tinfoil lacks.

It's not about reiNX exactly, but it's about how you proceed to boot your switch with payload (and in that way using a CWF).

Try to master that before any other thing. Also, backup loading is not user friendly enought IMO, unless you want to use SX product.

I run reinx.bin but spash screen doesnt appear, I can launch homebrew but layeredfs doesnt work so I cant launch polemon quest as dev menu

Oh, shit, that's a good point. I'm on 3.0, and I just realized I cannot even fit some of the Switch games onto my SD card, because their file size is bigger than 4gb. lol

The unofficial builds allow you to play the .NSPs you installed as well.

It requires a console certificate meaning using the application lets Nintendo know directly that you are downloading stuff from their servers. So to answer your question, yes and then some.
