nintendy should do this. realease it on internet, then he will b annoyed, but then the buyer ill know its nintendy

I say give us his address so I can hire my good friend Sam Fi-

no..Don't do that...Sam lives a clean life now...

He has been through enough trauma in his life already

but all trolling aside...

this is a crime against the ds scene...

we should burn his house down with combustible lemons.

if the contacts are in good enough shape to solder wires to, why no just make an extender board long enough to make contact with the DS and that sticks out the top, wire the mangled contacts to the extender board, that way you can see what the carts do without too much work.

There are a number of those I could do that to.

I'm trying to preserve them carts and put them back into a usable form again as well.

He never guaranteed that the cart would be undumped.

Why bother with those carts? What can we possibly gain from these?

the fact that its a piece of Nintendo history that should be preserved for all..

not just for one schmo to keep in his basement

and it might have unused sprites from unreleased ds games (Donkey Kong DS game??) or maybe possibly could be used for homebrew development...

and also the TWL (DSi) Dev cards might shed light on DSi mode

The Dev carts are DS-mode carts. You can't extract DSi-mode related infos from those carts, because there aren't any DSi-mode related infos in there.

if any cart should go undumped (like this latest one the scene lost)?

THIS ONE. SHOULDN'T.

this could possibly unlock the full potential of DSi Mode!

i didn't say it was bad thing...o_O

DSi Mode is great....

If we can develop an cheap Flashcard with DSi Mode Access, we Homebrew Developers can programm rly nice tools, because we have much more RAM and the twice CPU power, we can get alle Features which DSi Mode provides.

And no for SMD Soldering we dont need an air heat station, there are many methodes how to solder SMD Parts in TSOP Cases...

Thanks for the link, this is pretty much what I really want to do.

Just take a dummy cart and replace the chips.

So, just curious, are you planning on making repro game cards?
