Both of my ps4's are on 5.00 Damn..
My ps4 was on 5.00 and my Pro came with 4.70 so I had no chance LOL. I love my Glacier White PS4 Pro! So beautiful!
Maybe that one guy on twitter will release the 5.00 kernel exploit that he has? Would be cool if he does. Id go back to using my old ps4 until things start to get made and just let my Pro on 5.0 sit there...

When you write something being released in the homebrew scene, it means that something ready for use has been released, like a zip file containing an installer like they did with the first Wii exploit. They have only released a documentation how they discovered the exploit and how it works. Title is misleading.

Yeah no, that's just your interpretation of it. the title literally states kernel exploit release. An exploit doesn't have to be a file or anything materialistic, and certainly nothing for end users. The exploit they were holding, releasing it meant they provided all info needed for whoever has the technical knowledge to understand how it works, how to reproduce it, and how to exploit it.

Even if you got a 4.05, some game afaik already won't run on it. Currently to play all games to date requires 4.07. So a 1.76 PS4 backup loading feature now actually does not do much, you probably can just snag them all 2nd and dirt cheap.

New releases will requires new firmwares, that's how Sony does things.

i know i was involved in the p3 scene and all that drama , with TB dongle (which i thankfully never bought)
and waiting for latest FW crypto to be hacked and patching eboots to make games work and waiting for new CFW's based on latest FW
i just have not been following the ps4 scene at all nor do i own one, i never even got much use out of my ps3 fat because $ony hardware is such shit

seriously i never want to buy anything from them that has a fan or optical drive ever again , i have like 4 ps2's with broken optical drives
2 vaios which i have had to replace fans multiple times in
and my 3.41 ps3 fat has problems with discs getting stuck on eject and the fan sounds like a god damn c130 taking off
and heats my room up to 120 degrees after being on for 5 minutes , it's like a damn space heater
coupled with my old ass 50" plasma with 6 fans in it i can only play ps3 for 20 minutes at a time in mid february without going deaf and roasting alive
some day i will add a liquid cooling system to it and a case mod
but if buy any sony product with a fan or an optical drive be prepared to be constantly shelling out money for repairs
and for a good pair of earmuffs, their fans are loud as shit on virtually every product they make

I can't believe how they fucked up manufacturing so bad.
The worst part is, where most companies offer to actually help you with your faulty shit, $ony tells you to go fuck your fucking face. I struggled so much with my auto ejecting shit console that I eventually ripped the infamous foot AND the pryed the entire fucking eject touch button off.
And what's Sony response?

The community isn't gbatemp, the community is the entire gaming scene, or at the very least, PS4 scene in this sense.
