ugh. Had a 1.76 but sold it last month. Now have a Pro on 4.74 and a regular on 4.73. Guess there's no hope for those later firmwares at the moment.

too many words, don't even know how this will work, if anyone can sum this, please do

Edit: there was mistake from the site, the exploit was patched on 4.06, not 4.07

So it will only works on 4.05 and below.

About 4.06

Looks like it's my typo. The article did say it's patched in 4.07 but think 4.06 was patched too, just that he has no 4.06 to verify that.

What am I missing? Or is this just a click-bait title? All I see is an article about the method with a few snipits of example code. Where is this "release"?

It's a kernel exploit info released for 4.06 as title with some explanatory code. The title is 100% correct besides the "official" wording.

well, i wanted to say official release by fail0verflow from their own site, not from pshax or other sites.

i have a 2nd pro, unopened, waiting for almost a year on 3.70, it might be time for it to be awakened soon :D

Oh they changed their post I see.

Good. Now I don't have to kick myself for updating from 4.06 to 4.07 lol

doesn't matter, 4.06 doesn't support this exploit.

القصد ان قبل تعديل المقال كنت متحسف على اني سويت أبديت من ٤.٠٦ ل٤.٠٧
اما الحين ما تفرق لان ما كان ينطبق علي في كل الأحوال

google translate says this:

The intention was that before modifying the article I was confused that I was shown from 4.06 to 4.07 But now it is divided because what applies to me in all cases
is this correct?

Lol

The actual translation is:
The point is, before the article was edited, I was upset that I had updated from 4.06 to 4.07.
But now it doesn't matter cause it wouldn't have applied to me anyway.
