Just went to the PGL and saw this. Starting May 19th we'll be able to get our "eeveelution".

Seriously though, why'd it take so long to give the damn eeveelution?
I mean consider that you instantly befriend pokémon in the dream world after playing a game with them.

Only now so many weeks after the dream world launched, and 2 weeks after the eeveelution game ended, will we actually get the event pokémon.

YIKES, I hope not all the events are going to be delivered as delayed as this scenario.

What's even worse is that some people claimed to have gotten non-Eeveelution pokemon from that. One of my friends swore on his grave that the game gave him a surfing Pikachu.

Hang on, you can receive the Eeveelution Pokemon starting next Thursday, so he couldn't have gotten it yet.

Anyway, I've tried the ice-cream mini-game again, and it seems to work better now, though one scoop has still fallen off. It seems as if the ice cream scoops freeze in place only after two helpings of another scoop in the middle, I'll try next time to put the first "freezing" scoop in place perfectly so that I don't have to use two, and see whether that does the trick. If I managed to do an almost 80inch one before, I should do so now too (had 60inch today).

Thanks for the tips!

No, he meant he unlocked the Surfing Pikachu in the Dream World. In the game where you get to unlock an Eeveelution.

The game where you get to unlock an Eeveelution is on "The Official Pokemon Website" among other mini-games, all of which you can access without signing up (you just don't get Trainer tokens for them) while the Dream World is on the "Pokemon Global Link" website, which is separate from "The Official Pokemon Website" and even has a different address. You do, however, have to be registered at the Pokemon Trainer Club at tOPW in order to be able to register at PGL, where you access the Dream World.

Therefore there is a contradiction in your sentence (OBJECTION!), as he couldn't have played the mini-game to unlock an Eeveelution in the Dream World, as that mini-game isn't in there. Don't take it as an insult though, I'm just trying to clarify things.

No, I'm trying to clarify things. What I said is that he played the game on the Pokemon website, and he said that after winning that game a Surfing Pikachu was unlocked and he was able to get it into his game from the Dream World.

I don't believe him, of course, since Surfing Pikachu isn't an Eeveelution, but it's still interesting that he would say that...

Yes, I understood that right from the start (though after your second post it sounded as if he unlocked at DW), the point I was making is that the eeveelution you unlock from the Official Pokemon Website minigame you can recieve starting from May 18th. So I assumed that if it indeed was a glitch - not that I believe it- and he got it from the minigame at PGL, he probably shouldn't have been able to receive it yet due to the time activation (so even if he did unlock it, it would still transfer into DW with all the other Eevolutions at the same time).

But fortunately all confusion's been cleared up then.

Do you play the game too? What's your favourite mini-game at DW?

Oh. Well I think it's a crock anyway, since a Pikachu definitely doesn't evolve from an Eevee. My friend is kind of stupid sometimes. He once claimed that on his Pokemon FireRed a Mew evolved from an egg, without cheats. Then there was that time where he claimed his brother traded him a... Uh... What was it... A legit "Kesi"? I don't even know what that is.... He later told me that Kesi was from an event at Toys R Us, and since I didn't know better I believed him...

I played the game too, but after I played it twelve times and kept getting Jolteon, I gave up and got that.

I don't like any of the Dream World games. There aren't enough to go around. You could meet Pokemon twenty times and see the same game maybe twelve times out of that twenty, and in a row.. But ah, well, I play them just so I can befriend the Pokemon...

Did you saw that the game counted how many elemental orbs you got at the end? You're supposed to get only the type of the eeveelution you wanted while avoiding the others. That's why the "best" ones were in the last levels.

And I like the Wailord game. At last it's challenging. xD

ok i done the game awhile back but im not getting it, i go to the promotion button and i click the eevee one and i wont let me get it help

What pokemon can I get swift swim with? Dream world rain dance team? Anyone try it?

It sounds like a great deal of people aren't getting their eeveelution, sure is bullshit huh?
I've heard a lot about people having to replay the befriending game for some reason, not remembering the pokémon that it saved, etc.

Anyway that wasn't a problem for me, today I logged on and got my dream world Espeon, and even found a female vulpix. Those things get drought so they're heavily sought after now.

I guess Drought is good for various Sunny weather combos, right?

And the promotion works for me, I got my Leafeon, now it's time to pick it up ingame!

Dreamworld Vulpix and Politoed finally allow permanent weather effects to take place in battles without the use of uber pokémon like Groudon and Kyogre, before only Tyranitar and Hippowdon could summon a permanent sandstorm.

Apparently the metagame has changed drastically because of this revelation, weather plays a bigger part than it has ever done.
Sunny and rainy weather are especially significant because they increase fire/water damage and reduce water/fire damage, and trigger numerous abilities.
Oh and there are moves that are influenced by weather too, there's the signature move weatherball, thunder and hurricane never miss in rain but become inaccurate in sun, and there are pokémon that change form according to weather.
