I wonder how hardmod downgrade could be patched since a software depends on the hardware to do anything, even a check is depending on the hardware so modifying the hardware shouldn't be able to be protected

to put it simply, the trick that was used to downgrade no longer works, because of a change. it used to be that you could encrypt and write a replacement NATIVE_FIRM that was vulnerable, even if the sysmodules were on 11.x. so you would have 11.x symodules, but 10.7 native_firm, and you could exploit that to get to decrypt9 and ctrtransfer. but starting with 11.3 the sysmodules require 11.3 or greater native_firm, so it no longer boots after the attempted downgrade.

restore nand backup bypasses all this, provided it actually came from the same 3ds, because the raw encrypted data passes all checks.

it seems you have a horrible frankenfirm at the moment that doesn't work, and need a hardmod to reflash your nand backup and start over.

The OPs broken system is NOT on 11.3, it's on 8.2 frankenfirm.

Since nothing launches, dsiwarehax won't work.

Even if it were on 11.3, hardmod can ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS restore a nand backup, because that backup passes the bootrom check without modification. ctrtransfer can only be done if you have arm9 access to modify the image and fix the crypto.
Ok thx a lot u have made everything much more clear, so the only way to fix this is with hardmod to restore my nand right??

if you can't somehow launch decrypt9/SafeCTRTransfer again, then yes, you need hardmod, but since you managed the nand backup (you DO have a nand backup, RIGHT?) it is fixable.

your error was most likely cart updating after the ctrtransfer when you were on 2.1. only ever do that BEFORE the ctr transfer, and only to run mset exploit to get into decrypt9.

You did the ctrtransfer, giving you 2.1 browser.
you then tried to go for the browser exploit. but you had the wrong browser version because you cart updated, which doesn't touch the browser. you then tried rxtools, using the wrong browser to start it, and it probably messed with something.
you then cart updated to 8.2, while still on the 2.1 browser. that's when things went horribly wrong.

Yes, I backup everything, the nand backup is the NAND.bin file in the root of my SD?? I backup all my SD

yes, the nand.bin or nandmin.bin is the backup. it should also have a matching .sha file. it will work only on that console, but can be flashed with hardmod.

Silly question if you know about nand.bin and nandmin.bin
What's the difference beetwen nand.bin and nandmin.bin?

Ok, thx to all, I will now be in looking into how to hardmod so I dont fuc*ed up again xD
Thx all of u guys for ur help, u really helped me a lot :D

If you know soldering and you have experience soldering, you'll do it :P
I hope don't fu## your 3ds :P
good luck btw
Yeah I do have experience on soldering, I've seen some tutorials and it doesn't look too hard, if so I have some friends that can help with it so its fine.
Thanks a lot!!

nandmin.bin is smaller, and contains the MINimum data required to write the NAND backup.
nand.bin contains the entire NAND flash.

at least that's how i understand it.

Just was seeing the guide again and realized that if you performed a ctr transfer at any point it removes the tickets of you 3ds, so that could be the reason.
