I agree. Hekate file transfer is actually the fastest one I know and it handles small files pretty well compared to other options (try copying gta vice city files and you'll see what I mean :).

Where is hekate file transfer? I can't seem to find it

Just like what @hippy dave said. From Hekate Nyx Menu before you select your payload, go to *Tools* tab, select *USB Tools* under *Misc* in the right then select *SD Card* in the left.
Do remember to eject properly from the computer when you're done copying files.

Not looking at my Switch, but it's something like Tools, then USB, then you probably want to choose SD Card.

Found it!! Thank you :D Looks like I'll be using this instead!

For people that are searching for MTP alternative and doesn't want to reboot Switch there is an app made by Kefir team called DBI which includes also MTP and is on par with nxmtp in terms of speeds:

https://github.com/rashevskyv/dbi/releases

For some downside of this app may be that it's close source

EDIT: I see that it was already mentioned before. :D

Tinfoil and Lithium also have fast MTP.

Dbi works well, is it the best in term of USB performance ?

There are several errors with the tinfoil mtp system.

1. When I try to connect the cable -> disconnect -> reconnect, it no longer works.
2. Stop when you move the file.

I am aware of 1, still trying to figure out why it behaves like this but it will be fixed soon. Restarting tinfoil after you disconnect the USB cable fixes the issue for now, as you already know.

I have not heard of 2 before, I will investigate and fix.

There is an option in Tinfoil 5 version (only displays existing games on the current SD card), does the same option exist on the latest version also?

I've been using this for a while: https://github.com/coniventia/tinfoilmod-releases/releases

From the installed tab, only games that are on the inserted SD card show up. When I updated to Tinfoil 11, all games are showing up even those not on the SD card. Is that a feature that's been removed?

Ah, so people were complaining that there were not entries for xci games, so tinfoil could not manage their saves, install/remove updates, etc. So XCI records were added. You can uninstall the xci records if you dont want them to show up.
