Hi, same behavior, discovered as 06 drive but disc can't be inserted (looks like is a known limitation of the drive that requires a driver to admit). in macOS it works
apple_mfi_fastcharge activate SuperDrive are in module usb-storage of Linux. Maybe in drivers/usb/storage/initializers.c Apple ODD (Optical Disk Drive)
If drive have a DVD inside I can "eject", although it's not readed. If I try to push in a CD it doesn't catch
I read that its a characteristic of this drive that need a drive to be detected as unit
Made render changes (similar to what i have done on NXMP) and is working better then ever, also with high bitrate stuff.
waiting for libusbdvd testing on Apple SuperDrive (i haven't so i have to wait for test). This will be updated as well all other homebrew.
Working HARD on libaacs (with mbedtls instead of gnucrypt) , fixed many many stuff (mem leak, curve init and so on) this fixed bluyray playback, i tested long playback on all bluray i have at home and now seem "100% perfetct" just like DVD. next version of nx-laserplayer will be a LOT better on bluray playback

Side notes on my testing, many bluray are shipped with truehd7.1 as main default audio track, this stall the cpu and causes frame drop(huge frame drop) switching to ac3 track (always present) makes fluid playback. Tried lemas 66 bluray hd, 2 hours and more and only 15 frame dropped on entire playback

I know this is useless nowdays, maybe is only a tech achivement, but hope this can be useful for someone. I put a lot of effort on libusbdvd and nx-laserplayer, thousand of hours (mainly on libusbdvd and libaacs)
I am researching, in theory with some specific drives and with specific firmwares uhd bluray with aacsv2 can be decoded, will not be as easy as with just keydb, but possible. I am doing deep test on it “briking” some drives i have, if i got working any 4k retail bluray i will report and prove it. There are many many IF, but why not tring to do it!

Ps i am the first to know that is useless on switch, is easier and better to use the hd bluray version of the same movie, but is just a poc that “can be done”.
