Yea it looks like its working. It depends on how fast your hardrive is too. and how big the file is. You only have to do it once though so its not too bad. Also only files over 4gb have to be split.

this is the end result. so i have to keep it in the folder and it will install on my goldleaf on switch like normal.

DO Not use exfat the chance for corruptions is not worth it. Use divideensp. This will divide the nsp into separate parts inside a type of archive folder. This c an be transfered to the sd card and installed via goldleaf easily.
I’ve use exfat for a year and some months now and no issues, I’m sticking with it until it shows me otherwise. I’ve downgraded with it, used edizon and just about anything including lockpick and no errors or corruptions but like I said he has two solutions and they both work , split all your games and stay fat32 or go ex fat (just to try it out)

The issue with exfat is generally you're more prone to corruption. The main problem is when applications crash or closed improperly. You can help one of those but not the other. That being said corruption is possible on both, but many homebrew and such don't support exfat (they may work with it, but you'll have trouble getting troubleshooting help depending on the situation). And if you back up your important data this doesn't really matter except for the time to reinstall things and fix your card
I edited in a bit more info

real quick question. so is a back up as easy as dragging and dropping all my sd card files onto my pc?

if not... ill just save it for another day

Did you install the libusbK driver with Zadig? It won't work without it.
You can also use network install with Tinfoil and Nut server.
