Hacking "NSP is too large for file

yeah it will install it for you. make sure to tick off "Create Environment Variables" as RHOPKINS13 said when you install. After that you can take your nsp and drag and drop it on top of the split.py from nsp splitter linked above

don't forget once you have the finished split nsp folder and its contents to right click on the folder select properties and click on advanced in the general tab. from there tick the box "folder ready for archiving" then apply the changes. Installers that support split nsps will now be able to install said split nsp folder and contents (you put the folder containing the split files where you would put an ordinary un split nsp)

i installed python3 and ticked off the enviornment box. i dont see where i can open this so i assume i cant open it as a program. ok
now what is split.py? i typed in split.py into cmd and got nothing as presented in my photo.
its really cancer to use my laptop because its very very sluggish like my brain. so could you link the nsp splitter in ur next post?

the split.py is part of the nsp splitter I linked above
you use it to split nsps. The reason you need python is because it is a python script "type of program" that needs those files to work

seems I misremembered the file name it is called splitNSP.py not split.py

if you click this it will download splitnsp.py for you. you drag and drop your big nsp on top of this and it will split it for you

it may take a while I suggest you just let it be as it splits directly without making a copy

to clarify you don't need to use command prompt. You could but drag and drop is easier for the less technically savvy

that nsp is less than four gb if I'm not mistaken. You can't split it

I’ve done all that on exfat easily, so put your SD IN and backup the files somewhere to a folder, then format it as Exfat then put the files back on there and try adding your nsp

DO Not use exfat the chance for corruptions is not worth it. Use divideensp. This will divide the nsp into separate parts inside a type of archive folder. This c an be transfered to the sd card and installed via goldleaf easily.

Use this file. Have this bat file in a separate folder then drag the nsp on top of it. This will run a cmd and split the file.

Make sure the nsp is in a separate folder from the .bat file so you can drag it on top of the bat file. once it is split right click on the new folder and click properties then advanced this and the boxes saying folder is ready for archiving should have a checkmark. this folder can now be copied to your sd card and installed.

if you drag and drop it does the cmd steps for you.
the guy above me linked a non python version if you installed python incorrectly
it's possible splitnsp.py also needs to be in a separate folder but I don't recall that being a problem

I use the bat file as it makes a copy so I still have the old version if needed. Let me know if that works for you.

7z is a storage archive similar to rar or zip you need to extract the files and drag and drop on those

You have to have z zip or winrar. extract the files inside and then drop the nsp onto it.

Download 7 zip if you dont have it then you can extract the files inside then drag nsp onto the .bat file itself.
