People who actually know anything at all about programming (keywords: anything at all, meaning you don't need to be an expert programmer) aren't going to be "fighting" ChatGPT or Claude or whatever for weeks to get something working. A programmer who knows anything at all might use it because they think it might assist a programmer with their tasks. (This is, at best, debatable.)

Are you going to come with proof that this exists and functions in the way that you claim it does? Ideally in the form of source code or an executable binary (meaning it can be independently confirmed), but a video would be better than nothing. Screenshots don't prove anything, it's not hard to make a user interface that prints whatever text you want.

There have been too many fake projects posted online that claim to do amazing things and then never materialize. I was holding back at the start because I didn't want to immediately come with accusations in the event it was a legitimate project. But so far you just continue to post alleged screenshots and argue instead of doing the easiest task in the world to prove yourself and make your critics look like fools.

I am awaiting proof that you have actually made something. You have yet to demonstrate this, though something meaningful such as a video or even better, source code and/or a binary. You have so far avoided doing any of this. Screenshots don’t prove that what you’ve made works the way you claim.

To be fair they probably did get something working. Given ChatGPT etc can search the internet, it's likely it found the other repo that was working and pulled from that to make something "new".

I'm sure it's something working, as generative AI models sometimes produce correct code. As they had just posted a video that seems to demonstrate a NSO GameCube controller being connected to a PC.

Since a generative AI was used, it is entirely possible that this repo was used. I started the project and got very similar output to the provided screenshots:

It is extremely likely that this repo was used to make this alleged project. Even worse, this almost certainly would have violated the MIT license of the original project, which requires attribution.

This thread is not about a new project. This is a pre-existing project repackaged into something that the user claims to have made themselves "with the help of an AI".

This thread is about an AI slop fake project made by someone who doesn't know what they're doing, using tools that don't know what they're doing either.

It's not impossible but I wouldn't know for sure. Some developers might just like to use emojis. Either way, at least that project can claim to have made something useful (if it also didn't just take from some other project).

No, I don't claim to know how to do this specifically, because it doesn't matter. I work on the things I do have knowledge on, I don't use generative AI that copies code from other projects without attribution.

You don’t have to like how he did what he did, but if it works. Who really cares? If you don’t like it feel free to make your own solution and share it with the community

The new project then blows up, and the second person gets credit for ultimately (and possibly unknowingly, but that's not really an excuse) stealing the work of the original creator. It just discourages people from doing the initial work in the first place.

That's my general take on it anyway. Some of that likely has happened in this case given the code was out there on the internet, even if the OP didn't know that project existed. They've also not shared the code, so there's no real way to say.

But it’s also kind of a myth, these AI IDEs are also doing custom solutions. Especially if you give it examples like the ones devkitpro provides and a good set of rules. Just got to put in the effort. Poor effort poor results

Yes there some sys bot scripts floating around but none of it is really documented or more than here’s how you make a connection and maybe a basic macro.

Nor is there documention or any public fixes for its many quirks. Like its issue with socket connections. If sys bots connection gets cut prematurely or drops you will be unable to connect to it ever again within restarting the switch. Unless you have something in place to try and deter that from happening

Same with kick chat scraper. They don’t have public API or are there any python libraries or anyting for that (last I checked 7 months ago)

I understand some of the gripes don’t get me wrong, but acting how the other user did when they themselves aren’t even offering a “solution” doesn’t do anything but deter others from trying to contribute something. Anything and make the community a more toxic place

Especially when you consider the drawback you mentioned about the GitHub related to OP. It has high input lag, the GitHub mentions it also

that apparently OP managed to get fixed. If he truly did than he’s ahead, and made positive progress in my eyes. Who knows when (if ever) the GitHub you shared will ever get an update to address that issue

And as of now it doesn’t seem to have any forks of anyone stepping up to do it themselves. So OP isn’t hurting anything
